NEWS FROM THE WESTERN SUNSHINE RALLY 2011

We have just returned to Happy Trails after attending the Rally in Hemet, CA.  We had a great time with the tours, games, entertainment that was offered at the rally.  We visited with old friends and met some new ones.  A total of 92 rigs were present.  The Wine tour was enjoyed and some brought back some very good wines.  The Price is Right show was a blast, one of our chapter members was called up and won some prizes, air time is April 25, plan to watch.  Some of the attendants went to the Follies in Palm Springs and reported it to be a real winner.  Two new rigs were purchased by our chapter members and another rig may have been sold after we left.  Dave and Lynn McPhaden now have a 43-foot Endeavor and Bernie and Joyce Clements have a 42-foot Endeavor, plus a new dog by the name of Casper. Sadly Miranda’s dog Sunshine passed away but joyfully a new addition named Sugar now rules the roust.  Our wagon masters did a great job at this rally   We want to thank the Clements and Brauns for all the work and to all the helpers. It was a great rally.  The Clements and  the Mirandas will be the Rally Coordinators for the International Rally in Gillette, Wy in 2012. We hope many of our members can go.  They will need our help.

I have a Mini Tour planned for this fall for 357 members beginning at the Balloon Fiesta and ending up at the AZ State Rally.  I would like to hear from members who think they can go.  I need at least 10 rigs for discounts at the campgrounds and train rides.  Let me hear from you.  You can enjoy the entire trip or join us along the way. Attached is a tentative agenda.  Pricing for the trip will follow as reservations and activities become firm.
